Dawn of the 3-Dead

Dawn of the 3-Dead
Never let it be said that Richard Ruiebenstein has run out of ways to exploit his former partnership with George Romero. First, Rubenstein--who has justifiably made his mark on the genre by producing MARTIN, DAWN OF THE DEAD, KNIGHTRIDERS, CREEPSHOW, DAY OF THE DEAD,TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE, MONSTERS, and THE STAND--sold of the remake tights to DAWN.

While many horror fans (not me) were pleasantly surprised by the remake, they've been far less charitable to the recent CREEPSHOW 3 and DAY OF THE DEAD remake, for which Rubesntein also sold the rights (I recently read that Rubenstein's arrangement with Romero does NOT provide payments to Romero for these remakes!). Rubenstein has also sold the sequel rights for KNIGHTRIDERS to the same outfit that made CREEPSHOW 3 and DAY OF THE DEAD: CONTAGIUM. And he's recently announced a sequel to DAWN OF THE DEAD...

Okay, that's all pretty hoary. But here's a Rubenstein-Romero rehash I can get behind: without going to specifics, Rubenstein recently revealed that Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD is currently undergoing the 3-D process! As long as we're talking about Imaax-styled technology, and not the poor 3-D that recently prevented NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3-D from even playing in theatres, I'll be the first one on line. Can you imagine Machete Head, Chopper Head, and Guts Boy in 3-D?!?
