Fear Zone columnist Mario Dominick and Debbie Rochon

Internet horror film reviewer and journalist Mario Dominick has taken this moment to announce a new project: a book on the underground horror scene entitled EXPLORING THE UNDERGROUND: AN OUTSIDER'S GUIDE TO LOW BUDGET HORROR CINEMA.

Having written for several horror sites and online magazines including Critical Condition, FearZone.com, HorrorSociety.com, and Pretty-Scary.net, as well as having submitted work to G.A.S.P. Magazine run by Candace, Aaron and Ben LaBonte in Massachusetts, Mario is taking the summer to compile interviews with several filmmakers, producers, writers, actors, FX artists, musicians, distributors, and much more. As a Pennsylvania native, Mario plans to focus on filmmakers from his home state as well as German underground horror, the catalog of Ron Bonk's Sub Rosa Studios, the New York underground film circuit, Seduction Cinema flicks, Canadian filmmakers and actors, and the underground music scene in Pittsburgh. The interviews will cover different aspects of filmmaking such as writing, production, distribution, marketing, scoring, editing, and special make-up FX.
