Filmmaker, novelist and Fear Zone editor Gregory Lamberson will screen his 1988 splatter film SLIME CITY at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors in the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands in Secaucus, New Jersey at 2 PM on Saturday, June 21st. Mary Huner-Bogle, who essayed dual roles in the cult film, will be on hand for the 20th anniversary screening.

Weekend of Horrors runs from June 20th - June 22nd. Lamberson will be selling advance copies of the upcoming trade paperback of his novel Johnny Gruesome, which will be available in bookstores on October 1st, Friday and Saturday. Huner-Bogle will join him at his table on Saturday only.

"I'm excited to screen at Weekend of Horrors," says Lamberson. "FANGO was a big part of my life growing up--I still have issue #1 in good condition!--and it was all the rage when we shot SLIME back in '86. I'm going to be busy with other things for the rest of the year, so this may well be the last anniversary screening."

In addition to a book tour for Johnny Gruesome, Lamberson's filmmaking book, CHEAP SCARES! Low Budget Horror Filmmakers Share Their Secrets, is due in the fall, and he hopes to shoot SLIME CITY MASSSACRE in November or December.

"I completed the first half of the draft and everyone who's read it seems very pleased," says Lamberson. "We've raised some some of the budget but need more; it's a pretty ambitious project. And then we have to deal with everyone's schedules. Mary will be back, and Robert Sabin, and possibly some of the other cast members, some in different roles. We're all parents now, so it's a lot harder to find the time for a labor of love like this. But we'll make it happen."
