Robert Craig Sabin sent along word that he and his partner, B.K. Willerford, are developing THE ACCOMPLICE, one of three extremely slick and entertaining short films they produced for their 5-Minute Horror website, as a feature film. The official announcement follows. On a side note, 5-Minute Horror is also worth checking out for the shorts made by other filmmakers, test reel FX, and and a funny series featuring Sabin and a green screen.

Cult horror website 5 Minute Horror, maker of the short films "Tasty" and "Supersex," has completed its first feature script, based on their popular webisode short "The Accomplice." The full script, written by Craig Sabin, has been requested by a number of production companies, and may see production as soon as 2010.

Craig Sabin, writer and co-founder of 5 Minute Horror, reports "We were holding back on the feature script and focusing instead on the webisodes, which we still want to shoot. But the pitch was so strong, and one day, in a meeting with a producer, it just slipped out."

The request for a treatment came immediately, and script requests followed soon after. Babara Bitela of the ES Agency represents the script. She declines to comment on which companies have requested the script, but hints "I've been very busy."

B.K. Willerford, co-founder of 5 Minute Horror, adds "This is a great opportunity for 5 Minute Horror to step into the realm of feature production. We love short-form content, and will continue with our bite-size horror, but features give us a chance to display our sick and twisted leanings on the big screen.

Plans are underway for a rewrite of the "Accomplice" webisodes. "We want to compliment the feature, without telling the same story," says Sabin.

"Or maybe tell the same story from a different perspective," suggests Willerford.

"The Accomplice," starring Victoria Collier and Everett Wallin, and directed by Dale Fabrigar ("Supersex", "Alter-Ego"), tells the story of a woman who makes a deal with her serial killer. It will be featured next week on 5 Minute Horror, and can always be seen in the website's "Screaming Room."

5 Minute Horror, a website that features independently produced short horror films, was founded in 2006 by Robert Craig Sabin, star of the 1980s cult horror classic "Slime City", and actor/writer B. K. Willerford, last seen as Joe Louis in Ridley Scott's "American Gangster."
