Martin Blanco is INSANE!
You may recall the name of Martin Blanco. We have a Gallery Zone for him and he drew one of the two award-winning Johnny Gruesome on-line comics. Well now he's sent along word that he has two gallery events in the physical world: one exhibit in Andorra and the other in Texas.

"The exhibition in the Principality of Andorra is called Insane Postcards," Martin says. "The opening was on September 11th and the showing will continue until November 15th at the local "Mon Bohemi". This first exhibit of "Insane Postcards" contains 11 works from a total of 25 that will be finished during this year and hopefully exhibited during 2009."

WATCHMEN Movie Poster Gallery
Check out all seven character posters for the upcoming film adaptation of the Alan Moore/David Gibbons graphic novel classic WATCHMEN, directed by Zach Snyder (300, the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake).

Snyder's cut currently runs 3 hours, which he'll need to cut down to satisfy the film studio, and the pirate comic-within-the comic is being produced as a separate animated film to be released straight to DVD. Although most of the actors cast in the film are way too young for their roles, the production design looks phenomenal.

The film stars:

Malin Akerman Laurie Juspeczyk / Silk Spectre II

Carla Gugino Sally Jupiter / Silk Spectre

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Edward Blake / The ... (more…)

Eric Mache Art Gallery
Welcome to Eric Mache's gallery showing in Fear Zone.

I killed Eric in 1995. Or, more accurately, I had him capped by a crackhead outside my apartment door. He took a slug in the heart--and for good measure, his wife Melanie took one in the head. Now that's togetherness. You don't believe me? Watch the opening scene of my micro-budget film NAKED FEAR (Please, somebody watch it!), which is available as a the second feature on the SLIME CITY DVD.

I met Eric around 1984, when I worked in a Times Square video store. My partner on SLIME CITY, Peter Clark, asked him to design a promotional flyer for SLIME CITY, a low budget horror film we wanted to make. I can't say whether or not his flyer ... (more…)
