Media Blasters Releases SLIME CITY MASSACRE on DVD
From Greg Lamberson:

It may be hard to believe, but just two years ago, in June of 2009, I was knee deep in pre-production on my new film SLIME CITY MASSACRE, sequel to SLIME CITY (1988). During this past year, the film has won several awards: The Biggest Baddest Mother of the PollyGrind; Best Actress for Debbie Rochon at the Eerie Horror Film Festival; Best Actor for Kealan Patrick Burke at the PollyGgrind; Best Scream Queen for Brooke Lewis at at the B Movie Celebration; and the Polished Apple Award for Best Sequel.

SCM has also received rave reviews from Bloody-Disgusting, Dread Central, HorrorYearbook, Wildside Cinema, The Blood SPrayer, Rogue Cinema, and other major horror websites. ... (more…)

Bloody-Disgusting Raves About SLIME CITY MASSACRE
Bloody-Disgusting.com, the #1 horror entertainment website, has posted a RAVE review of SLIME CITY MASSACRE!

"...one of the best and most ambitious indie horror flicks I??(TM)ve seen in ages!"

4.5 skulls and a 9/10 rating!

The reviewer is none other than Johnny Cool, who Fear Zone readers may remember as "Johnny Cool" in our comments section and as Tobias Piwek, who covered German horror films and music for us on occasion.

Glad you liked it so much, Johnny! (more…)

SLIME CITY MASSACRE Trailer
After a week long run as an exclusive at Fangoria.com, the trailer for SLIME CITY MASSACRE is now available on YouTube and other sites. I figured out the structure for the trailer myself, and Phil Gallo, who did a masterful job editing the film, ran with it. Because we're an indie film that will be searching for audiences on the horror film circuit, I decided to reveal, or at least hint at, some of the good stuff. The music excerpts include the score by Mars, and the title track, "Slime," by Giasone & Marcy Italiano. Enjoy it right here.

SLIME CITY MASSACRE will screen at film festivals throughout the year. Most of those festivals won't announce their lineups for a long time to come. ... (more…)

Stephen Romano's SLIME CITY MASSACRE Poster
Here it is: the official one sheet for my upcoming film SLIME CITY MASSACRE. The poster was designed by Stephen Romano, who's done countless other posters and DVD covers. I knew I wanted Stephen involved in SCM since I saw his amazing book, SHOCK FESTIVAL. He also painted the cover and mini-poster for POP Cinema's SLIME CITY GRINDHOUSE COLLECTION. In addition, Stephen has created 15 gorgeous paintings for SCM's title sequence.

The poster features Slime Heads Debbie Rochon (orange), Jennifer Bihl (pink), Lee Perkins (blue) and Kealan Patrick Burke (green). It also shows the radioactive green sky glowing over the ruins of midtown Manhattan, aka "Slime City."

SLIME CITY MASSACRE will have ... (more…)

Fear Zone Special: Own a Piece of the SLIME!
SCM artwork by Stephen Romano

Just in time for the holidays!

For SLIME CITY MASSACRE, we used 200 wine bottles for "Zachary Devon's Home Brewed Elixir," complete with labels and aging. I'm offering 150 of these bottles for sale as a limited edition run. 150 actual props, and when they're gone, they're gone. Each bottle comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Zachary Devon himself! I'm confident these will one day be considered collectors' items.

The cost of these props is $19.99 U.S., plus $5.00 for shipping handling (I have to pack those glass bottles carefully); foreign orders, please make it $10.00 for s & h). Think anyone ever bought a "Viper Tenafly" bottle from STREET ... (more…)

SLIME CITY MASSACRE Character Sheet #4: Lee Perkins as Mason
In SLIME CITY MASSACRE, Lee Perkins plays "Mason." Like Kealan Patrick Burke's "Cory," Mason was drafted for the U.S. invasion of Canada for oil. Upon his return, he became a volunteer fireman... until he learned that he likes to start fires more than put them out. After getting into some trouble, he fled to "Slime City" - the burned out ruins of Midtown Manhattan following a dirty bomb explosion in the financial district. There he hooked up with "Alice," (Debbie Rochon) a fellow fugitive.

When Cory and "Alexa," (Jennifer Bihl) come to Slime City, Mason and Alice take them under their wing. But do they have ulterior motives? When Mason and Cory discover "Zachary Devon's Home Brewed ... (more…)
